Review:
Quintessential 2000's comedy. Everyone here is on top form. This isn't a particularly well made film but Adam McKay's witty writing, a staple of his career, pulls through to create one of the most re-watchable films due to it's endless laughs.

Ron Burgundy (Will Ferrell) is an anchorman in 1970's San Diego with an award winning news team behind him - Brick Tamland, Champ Kind and Brian Fantana (Steve Carell, David Koechner and Paul Rudd respectively). The chemistry between the four characters is electric. They bounce off each other effortlessly. I forgot just how funny Will Ferrell truly is as Ron Burgundy. Over the top poetic lines and physical slap-stick combine perfectly. But one character rises above all in Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, Brick Tamland. Steve Carell's comedic portrayal rivals that of his most notable pieces of work. Each line of dialogue that leaves his mouth leaves me in complete bits.

Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy is also full of several memorable cameos. Jack Black, Tim Robbins, Seth Rogen, Ben Stiller, Vince Vaughn and Luke Wilson - it feels never ending in the best way possible.

The style of humour works for me but comedy is totally subjective. What makes Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy such a classic, one that is still talked about nearly two decades later is that the film is extremely quotable:
"I killed a guy with a trident."
"I'm in a glass case of emotion."
"I love lamp!"
"I read somewhere their periods attract bears. Bears can smell the menstruation."
"That's how I roll!"
The last of which situates within the funniest scene put on screen - leaving me in genuine tears. The dialogue keeps the moments during the runtime relevant at all times and leads to one of my favourite comedies.
