Review: Alongside James Cameron's visionary storyline the three main cast members make The Terminator . Linda Hamilton as Sarah Connor is a brilliant female lead that does have the potential to become a genuine action hero (which she evolves into later on in the series). I thought that she had really good chemistry with Michael Biehn's Kyle Reese. Kyle Reese is the perfect action hero - he is charismatic and brave and a great mentor for Sarah Connor. Arnold Schwarzenegger, who is now an established action icon was apparently initially recommended to James Cameron for the role of Kyle Reese, but James Cameron thought he would make a better Terminator.
