Terminator Movies Ranked

The Terminator franchise is such a mixed bag of films. It contains some of the most iconic action sci-fi movies of all time as well as some of the worst. Being honest, I don't think there was a legitimate need to make a movie once James Cameron left the franchise, he's the reason these movies are as good as they are. Below is my ranking of The Terminator movies: 06. Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines 05. Terminator Salvation 04. Terminator Genisys 03. Terminator: Dark Fate 02. Terminator 2: Judgment Day 01. The Terminator "I'll be back" A lot of people may argue that  Terminator 2: Judgement Day  is an improvement upon the original but my favourite is  The Terminator . James Cameron is forced to work on a limited budget but is able to produce the perfect combination between horror, sci-fi and action that has aged like a fine wine.

UK Release Date: 16 August 1991 Certification: 15 Director: James Cameron Cast: Earl Boen, Edward Furlong, Linda Hamilton, Joe Morton, Robert Patrick, Arnold Schwarzenegger Rating: 88% "Hasta la vista, baby." Review: This review contains spoilers for James Cameron's The Terminator (see my review here ) and Terminator 2: Judgement Day . Returning actors Arnold Schwarzenegger, Linda Hamilton and  Earl Boen are excellent and new cast members Edward Furlong, Joe Morton and Robert Patrick all bring something extra to the movie as John Connor, Miles Dyson and T-1000 respectively. Terminator 2: Judgement Day has an incredible twist near the start of the movie, which helped make the first act a lot more interesting. [Spoiler] I really enjoyed watching the relationship between Arnold Schwarzenegger and Edward Furlong develop. John Connor (Furlong) befriends the Terminator and the two bond, which is why the Terminator's self-sacrifice at the end of the m...

The Terminator

UK Release Date: 11 January 1985 Certification: 15 Director: James Cameron Cast: Michael Biehn, Earl Boen, Linda Hamilton, Lance Henriksen, Bess Motta, Rick Rossovich, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Paul Winfield Rating: 91% "I'll be back". Review: Alongside James Cameron's visionary storyline the three main cast members make The Terminator . Linda Hamilton as Sarah Connor is a brilliant female lead that does have the potential to become a genuine action hero (which she evolves into later on in the series). I thought that she had really good chemistry with Michael Biehn's Kyle Reese. Kyle Reese is the perfect action hero - he is charismatic and brave and a great mentor for Sarah Connor. Arnold Schwarzenegger, who is now an established action icon was apparently initially recommended to James Cameron for the role of Kyle Reese, but James Cameron thought he would make a better Terminator. He was correct. Schwarzenegger is a menacing and terrifying villain. ...
