Review:
This review contains spoilers for James Cameron's The Terminator (see my review here)and Terminator 2: Judgement Day.

Returning actors Arnold Schwarzenegger, Linda Hamilton and Earl Boen are excellent and new cast members Edward Furlong, Joe Morton and Robert Patrick all bring something extra to the movie as John Connor, Miles Dyson and T-1000 respectively.

Terminator 2: Judgement Day has an incredible twist near the start of the movie, which helped make the first act a lot more interesting.

[Spoiler] I really enjoyed watching the relationship between Arnold Schwarzenegger and Edward Furlong develop. John Connor (Furlong) befriends the Terminator and the two bond, which is why the Terminator's self-sacrifice at the end of the movie is highly emotional. And that thumbs up moment. Nailed it!

The action in this movie is a little bloodier than the first. The T-1000 is more advanced than Schwarzenegger's Terminator which sets up better action sequences. The T-1000 can form knives and blades, but not complex weapons such as guns, so does kill a lot of people. And just like the first movie there are several great car and motorcycle chases.

This movie isn't as good as The Terminator. Some minor aspects of Terminator 2: Judgement Day kept me from enjoying it as much as the first, but I still loved this movie.

I can't wait to see what Tim Miller will do with Terminator: Dark Fate (in nine months when it comes out on DVD).
