Review: Tom Hanks - does the man have a bad movie? He's so incredible in every single movie he's in, I don't understand how he's only won two oscars. In News of the World he plays a tired civil war veteran trying to return a young child back to her home. He's able to express everyone one of his emotions to the audience making me cry a little as most of his movies do. Hanks is getting on a bit in real life but I thought it was his most action heavy movie since Saving Private Ryan and Road to Perdition showing he still has that side to his acting repertoire. I thought Hanks' co-star, to me an unknown 12-year-old German actress, Helena Zengel was superb. It's not just me...
