Mac's Movies

In what was yet another crazy and uncertain year, 2021 was still able to provide us with some excellent movies across all mediums. There's been a few that I've possibly missed over the course of the year but in my opinion these are the ten best movies of 2021: 10. Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings 09. Ghostbusters: Afterlife 08. The Power of the Dog 07. No Time to Die 06. The Suicide Squad 05. Tick, tick...BOOM! 04. Spider-Man: No Way Home 03. A Quiet Place Part II 02. Zack Snyder's Justice League 01. Dune The Best Movie of 2021 Dune was so good that I needed more of it's world and I got the book for Christmas. The movie stuck with me for weeks with it's excellent cast, stunning visuals and swelling score. Denis Villeneuve has quickly became one of the best directors currently working and I absolutely can't wait for the sequel in 2023.

And to top it all off A Quiet Place Part II is an extraordinary horror sequel that deserves to be seen on the big screen.  I know and love John Krasinki from  The Office  and I think his performance in  A Quiet Place  was breathtaking and whilst he directed superbly in that movie this is his chance to display his talent as a director. The cinematography is beautiful, every single shot is picture perfect and utterly stunning to look at. As the Cinema's in Scotland finally open back up today - I'm so excited to watch A Quiet Place Part II in a few weeks when my exams are finished - I thought I would look at the movies I'm looking forward to seeing the most during the rest of 2021.
