Review: The ensemble cast assembled for  Chef is excellent. Jon Favreau shines as struggling chef, Carl Casper, trying to restore his passion. His relationship with his estranged son, Percy - played by Emjay Anthony - is the beating heart of the movie. The bond the two form is both engrossing and sweet. John Leguizamo is entertaining as Carl's sous-chef, Martin. He adds a distinctive, spice to the movie that's fresh to see on screen.  However, I didn't enjoy Scarlett Johansson or Robert Downey Jr. in this movie. I was unfortunately unable to see the movie upon release due to having to isolate but I was lucky enough to avoid the majority of spoilers online. Please bare this in mind if you haven't seen the movie. [Spoiler] J ake Gyllenhaal is perfectly cast as Mysterio. All comic book fans will know that Mysterio is one of Spider-Man's main villains. There is an expositional scene in the bar that had the potential to ruin the movie but Jake Gyllenhaal nailed it.   The returning cast are once again excellent, especially Tom Holland, who in my opinion is the best actor to play Spider-Man on screen. Review: Spider-Man Homecoming is the first MCU solo Spider-Man movie and you can tell it is an MCU production, which is no bad thing. It has more jokes, more action and of course cameos from other MCU characters. Tom Holland and the rest of the cast are amazing in Spider-Man: Homecoming . For me, Tom Holland is the best actor to play Spider-Man. He is perfect for the part - suitably cocky as Spider-Man and equally insecure as Peter Parker. Iron Man , the first movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, MCU, is a good one. A sound base for a whole new genre of movies - the superhero blockbuster. I ron Man doesn't have the pressure that other movies in the MCU do. The audience didn't know that it was going to part of a connected universe when it was released. And that is what makes the movie, for a lot of people, an enjoyable experience. But when the then revolutionary post-cr edit scene appeared the audience were shocked and Kevin Feige (President of Marvel Studios) created a marketing masterpiece.
