Review:
The casting of Ben Whishaw as Paddington is a masterstroke. The sense of naivety and innocence in Whishaw's voice personifies the character brilliantly. Michael Gambon and Imelda Staunton's voice work was also very good and equally suited the characters of Uncle Pastuzo and Aunt Lucy.

Alongside the CGI bears the live actors were excellent. Hugh Bonneville was hilarious as Henry Brown. He carried a huge amount of charisma and the perfect amount of stubbornness to the softer, more caring, Mary Brown (played by Sally Hawkins). The housekeeper, Mrs Bird's (played by Julie Walters) running gag of knowing what was going to happen because of her knees was great. I loved it. But the standout performer in my opinion was Peter Capaldi, as the meddling neighbour Mr Curry. However this might be because I am a huge fan of his now famous relative, Lewis Capaldi. But I thought that his cameo was hilarious and brilliant.

The Brown's make this movie so much better - every one of them is funny in their own way. The interactions with Paddington are honest, believable and charming, which makes the movie so much more realistic.
The only slight negative with Paddington was Nicole Kidman's character, Millicent. Her performance wasn't too bad, but I felt the character was very much a generic villain and in truth, a wee bit boring.

All in all, Paddington is a delightful family movie, perfect for younger siblings and one i hope I'll never grow out of.
