Review:
Tim Miller's 2016 Deadpool changed the comic book movie genre forever. Deadpool is no outright goody two-shoes superhero - he's no Captain America. He's sexy, sassy and sarcastic.

The movie embraces the fact that the original comic book Deadpool is an insanely violent character but is humorous at the same time. From his fourth wall breaks and his comic pop culture asides to his extremely messy way of getting things done, Deadpool makes for an unlikely likeable character.

Ryan Reynolds had been trying to play a proper Deadpool ever since the studio messed up Deadpool in X-Men Origins: Wolverine and he is perfect in the role. He plays the funny side of Deadpool brilliantly, the violent side brilliantly and the emotional side brilliantly. His portrayal made me like Ryan Reynolds as an actor after only really knowing him for being in bad comic book movies like: Blade: Trinity, Green Lantern and the previously mentioned X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

The main villain in Deadpool is quite boring and not very original. A scientist who is actually an evil villain has been done to death and in my opinion much better in X-Men 2, Batman Begins and Spider-Man. And really, not another British villain.

So believe the hype. Roll on Deadpool 2. Chicka-chickahhhh [Post credit scene].
